Silicon Valley Bay Area Orthopedics - Knee, Shoulder and Joints Care
ARTHRITIS CARE

We offer multiple treatment options for arthritis, including medications, ‘cortisone’ and viscosupplementation injections. Viscosupplementation refers to injection of a gel-like fluid in the knee that contains naturally occurring substances found in the joint, and can act like a lubricant for arthritic joints.

INTEGRATED IMAGING

We offer advanced digital radiography which uses much less radiation than traditional xray films. With an electronic medical record and digital imaging system, we can often review images from other locations (including MRIs) when you see us, and we have the ability to provide you disks with your images at your request.

ARTHROSCOPY

With special expertise in these procedures, we can treat many conditions by use of a small fiber-optic camera and minimally invasive tools on a high definition monitor. With these arthroscopic options, recoveries are typically much easier and speedier than with traditional open surgical incisions and can be done on an outpatient basis.

SECOND OPINIONS

When you are unsure of whether or not you require treatment, we are here to assist and advise you without the pressure of having to choose a particular treatment course. By discussing your condition in detail and ensuring your questions are answered, you can leave feeling confident that you have the knowledge to make the right decision for your condition.

RISK ASSESSMENTS

We have developed an evidence-based and rigorous program to measure and mitigate patient-specific surgical risk. This unique and one-of-a-kind program gives patients the best possible chance at avoiding complications, infections and readmissions after surgery.

SPORTS INJURIES

Knee injuries, such as ACL or meniscus tears, and shoulder labral tears are common injuries in athletes and weekend warriors alike. Even if you are not one of our elite athletes, we offer the latest surgical and nonsurgical techniques to get you back in the game safely and without delay, whatever your injury may be.

FRACTURE CARE

We offer nonoperative cast or brace treatment of most fractures, and surgical options when required. With a dedicated cast technologist in the office, we can take care of most injuries with a personalized approach.

JOINT REPLACEMENT

When joint replacement is required, we have some of the most advanced techniques to offer, including computer assisted, patient specific surgery. These are not the joint replacements of your grandmother’s or even father’s generation. Hospital stays are often just a day or two with our latest cutting-edge techniques.

NATURAL THERAPY

With our commitment to avoiding surgery wherever possible, we are well versed in techniques to improve your condition in the most natural way possible. Whether through diet or physical therapy, our philosophy is to always try holistic treatment options before ever considering more invasive procedures. We are passionate about musculoskeletal health in the context of a patient's overall wellness.
